Comments

Some comments on a recent post were rather disappointing. I noticed the same on another blog. Over time I’ve come to develop a thicker skin about the things that I blog about. The comments are open for a reason; it’s not meant to be a one-way conversation. However, please remember: 1. Keep comments on topic. We all have pet topics but if it’s not related to the post, get your own blog and post whatever you’d like there. 2. Don’t set up straw men and then tear them down. It’s easy to make someone look bad if you misrepresent their position. 3. Be respectful. I know this is hard to judge but it’s pretty basic. I try hard not to delete comments, and I’ve never banned a commenter, and I want to keep it that way.
