Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

A lot of us think about physical replenishment. I suspect that not as many think about emotional replenishment: of recognizing when we’re emotionally tired and need to step away and do something to recharge.

I’m a doer. I can get a lot of work done. But as the pandemic drags on, I’m paying careful attention to my limits. I’m trying to limit my working hours, take more walks, and do more things that replenish me.

We’re all running at a lower capacity than normal right now. Please don’t miss your need for emotional replenishment. Recognize your limits, and look for things that fill you up again.

“Appreciate the patience of God. Think how he has borne with you, and still bears with you, when so much of your life is unworthy of him, and you have so richly deserved his rejection. Learn to marvel at his patience, and seek grace to imitate it in your dealings with others; and try not to try his patience any more.” (J.I. Packer)

“Twelve” is a free app for IOS and Android. It’s designed to keep each other accountable to read the Word of God every day.

“Our simple app allows you to share a picture of what you read each day and have a conversation about it with everyone in your small group. Every day is an opportunity to encourage, listen, and deepen our relationships with each other and with Christ. By immersing ourselves in the Scriptures and consistently walking in the Spirit we will be transformed into His likeness (2 Cor. 3:18).”
