Hi [subscriber:firstname | default:subscriber],

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.
A THOUGHT

On a tough morning earlier this year, Char and I sat up in bed and recounted some of God’s provisions to us. Somehow it was enough to get us through a very challenging day.

We can all agree that it’s been a difficult year. But we’ve experienced God’s grace too. Remembering evidences of that grace can sustain us through the toughest of times, and lift our hearts to his grace.
A QUOTE

“If we are disturbed by anything short of perfection in ourselves and others, that must go. The perfectionist sets goals beyond his reach, then sinks into false guilt when he falls short. Our world is imperfect, and we cannot expect the impossible. Setting modest, realistic goals will help a perfectionist move through a problem without discouragement.” (J. Oswald Sanders)
A RESOURCE

I’ve just finished reading a biography of Jack Miller, a man who died in 1996, but who influenced so many through his life and teaching. His widow, Rose Marie Miller, is 96 and still active in building friendships and sharing her faith with Asian women in London, England.

If you’re looking for a book that will challenge and encourage you, then I highly recommend it. It’s called Cheer Up! The Life and Ministry of Jack Miller.
Thanks for reading! Happy New Year.
