Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.
A THOUGHT

Social media and news are so easy to consume. It’s not all bad, but it’s easy to get sucked in and consume too much.

I keep thinking about an image from Brett McCracken’s upcoming book The Wisdom Pyramid:
Wisdom Pyramid
“One thing you'll notice about this wisdom pyramid is that it goes from the most enduring up to the most fleeting,” he writes. “So orient your knowledge diet around the things that endure. This will help you find wisdom and joy in a fake news, post-truth, alternative facts world.”
A QUOTE

Sometimes I joke about what I'd do if I had one day left to live. Eat junk, go crazy, etc.

Today it hit me: Jesus knew. And he washed feet.

A RESOURCE

I’m fascinated by socialbubble.co, a website that allows you to browse Twitter from within different political echo chambers.

“Social media platforms are an echo chamber by design … Socialbubble tries to break the danger of confirmation bias by showing you what a typical Twitter feed looks like from all sides of the political spectrum.”
Thanks for reading!
