Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

John Stott, the great English preacher, spent one day a month away from his normal responsibilities.
When he was close to burnout, he heard someone recommend this practice. He started placing a “Q” in his diary one day a month. He’d use this day away from all the pressing demands for reflection and reading. Gradually, he increased the frequency of his Q days.
“All I can say is that this little prudential arrangement saved my life and my ministry,” he wrote. “Although I was still challenged by the job, I was not overwhelmed by it.”
It’s a practice worth considering for all of us. (See personalretreatday.com for more on this idea from a secular perspective.)

“It is good to read poetry; it is better to write it; but the best is to live it.”
