Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

David Brooks suggests that we’re living through a moral convulsion. Once every 60 years or so, distrust for established power and institutions increases, and we go through a time of upheaval and unrest.

Three implications:
  • The next few years will likely be choppy.
  • We should take care to look after ourselves by curating our media intake, and practicing good habits (see the quote below).
  • These times of upheaval are also gospel opportunities. God seems to do some profound work in these times of upheaval.

With many urgent matters deserving our best, how can we remain resilient, fresh, energetic? Let's make our lives simple enough to be faithful in Bible reading and prayer, try to get enough sleep, enjoy a hearty laugh with a friend every day, read good books. Seriously.
