Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

I used to think that most churches are struggling until I started visiting a lot of them.
As a church planter, I’d often visit churches to share about our ministry. Sometimes I would show up on a Sunday with low expectations. Then I’d meet some people from the church and immediately sense that God was at work. You can just tell. Sometimes the churches were big, and sometimes they were small, but I found myself encouraged most of the time.
I understand that some churches aren’t well. We do well to confront problems and to pray for revitalization and revival.
But sometimes it’s easy to focus too much on the problems. let’s not overlook the fact that God’s at work in seemingly ordinary churches, even though we have a long way to go.
What if many churches are doing better than we think?
