Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

A few years ago, a friend of mine told me about the idea of living all of life either anticipating Sabbath or living out of Sabbath.

For three days of the week, anticipate your next Sabbath. Think about what you will do. Count the hours until you can set aside all of your work and do the things that make you come alive to God and others.

Then enjoy your Sabbath. No guilt. As much as possible, do no work and simply enjoy all of God’s gifts.

Then, for three days, savor what you experienced on the Sabbath. Live off the refreshment you enjoyed.

This makes Sabbath not just a day, but something that shapes the whole week. I don’t always get it right, but I’ve try to live this way. It helps to build a Sabbath way of life.

You may have heard about the supply chain issues in the news. The latest episode of the Rebuilders podcast with Mark Sayers explains what these issues mean for the church. Very helpful.
