Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

When I began the process of church planting, I read dozens of books, talked to church planters, and learned everything I could.

The problem is that a lot of the advice was contradictory. I found myself confused about what to do.

I booked some time away and wrestled through what God was calling me to do. I gained clarity about my convictions and stopped listening to all the noise.

As you prepare for 2022, you’ll probably hear a lot of noise about what to do to set yourself up for the New Year. Listen to what’s helpful, but then spend some time away from the noise as you sense what God is calling you to do.

“God has not called you to be awesome. He has called you to be humble, faithful, and free. Leave the awesome to Him.”

(Scott Sauls)
