Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

It was my first church fight.

I was a relatively new pastor. A leader in the church was late for our meeting. When he entered, he was furious. He came within inches of my face and yelled at me. I thought me might punch me.

We were all in shock.

The next day, phoned a friend who was a local church pastor. He took me out for a nice lunch and helped me process what happened. He helped me recover.

I’m glad, in hindsight, that I had cultivated friendships with others who could help me in a time of need.

Don’t wait until you’re in trouble to build friendships with someone who can help pick you up off the floor. Proactively build them. I guarantee you’ll need them one day. And they can use your friendship too.

“Worldliness is what makes sin look normal in any age and righteousness seem odd.”
