Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

In Numbers 11, Israel complained that they don’t have meat. God responded by giving them meet: quail in such abundance that it’s stacked three feet high throughout the entire camp.

The punishment was getting exactly what they wanted. “While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed,” many got sick and died (Numbers 11:33).

Be careful of complaining to God about what he hasn’t given you. Sometimes what God doesn’t give us is a mercy.

“The compulsion of authenticity leads to narcissistic introspection, a permanent occupation with one’s own psychology.”
