Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

I’ve been spending the week with a small class of pastors from all over the United States, and it’s left me encouraged.
|
I remember visiting Ann Arbor, Michigan, and praying for churches there. It’s a progressive city, and I can’t imagine that it’s easy to pastor there. This week I met a faithful pastor from that city. I enjoyed meeting someone I’d prayed for even though I hadn’t known him.

Go to almost any place in North America, even small towns, and you will find faithful Christians serving God well. God has his people everywhere.

"What matters is God’s love to us, not our love to God. Our love is weak and frail and fallible; it wanes and waxes, comes and goes. Thank God my salvation does not depend on me, but on God’s love to me; not upon my frail grasp of Him, but upon His strong grasp of me!"

I appreciate the ministry of David Murray, pastor and author of a number of books. David has assembled a list of 400+ online resources for pastors. It’s a few years old, but still excellent.

If you’re a pastor, check it out. If you’re not a pastor, pass it on to someone who is.
