Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

To Pixar and Beyond is another leadership memoir. It’s the story of how a struggling computer animation company became successful.
Sometimes I find these books discouraging. They make for good stories, but we can’t exactly replicate their success.
This book, though, is different. The author was in a car accident that could have killed him. That would have destroyed the company and changed everything. You can have all the formulas in the world, but life is unpredictable and we’re at the mercy of forces beyond our control.
It’s a good reminder of God’s providence. We think we’re in control but we’re not. How refreshing to remember that there is Someone who is in control, and he is good even when we don’t understand everything that’s happening.

“Sanctification is like a clumsy, slow walk rather than a light switch that we turn from off to on.”

Trueman has written a more accessible book on the same topic. It’s called Strange New World. Check it out if you’re interested.
