Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

I really like Andy Crouch’s book The Life We’re Looking For.

Within this book, I really like his riff on un-useful persons, people like Tertius, mentioned in Romans 16:22.

Tertius was completely unimportant in Roman culture. He was a scribe. His name meant number 3. He was a nobody. And yet he mattered to Paul.

Even Quartas (number 4) mattered (Romans 16:23).

Church is where even unimportant people matter.

“All real change starts with the number of people who can sit around a table in a single household.”

(Andy Crouch)

Francis Schaeffer’s books The Lord’s Work in the Lord’s Way and No Little People are classics.

Until June 8, Crossway is offering them in ebook or audiobook format for free.
Thanks for reading!
