Hi subscriber,

Here's a thought, a quote, and a resource I wanted to share with you this Thursday.

I traveled to the middle of nowhere last weekend. The population of the area can be measured in three digits. No grocery stores, gas stations, or even cell service.

But it has a healthy church.

Later, I heard from a friend who’d moved to another remote area. I asked some friends if anyone knew of a good church close to where he lives. “A friend of mine … recently became the senior pastor … He’s a faithful teacher and pastor,” replied one. Another friend concurred.

I’m so grateful for good churches in remote places where you wouldn’t expect to find them. The pastors and people there are my heroes. God is so good at strategically placing his people everywhere.

“Nothing could more surely convince me of God's unending mercy than the continued existence on earth of the church.”
